About
My life journey began on September 29, 1989 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Since my entrance into this world, many events have taken place that have drastically altered my life. While I was very young, my father was a Methodist preacher and I have been blessed to have been brought up in the church. However, many events from this point in time are a blur in my memory, although one particular event continues to effect me most: my parent’s divorce. Shortly after the divorce, my mother, sister, and I moved to Cartersville, Georgia, where we currently live.
It was the very next year during the Easter service at my home church, then and now, that I accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. Although I was very young in my faith, I learned to trust in God, even when things were very tough. Following my salvation, I began to involve myself in extra-curricular activities. I became involved in activities from baton twirling and singing in elementary school to color guard, choir, and swimming in middle school and finally to Broadway, Chorale, Spanish, and ballet in high school.
During my mid to late teen years, my life was like a roller coaster. I would see friends come and go as the years went by, except for those few to whom I still remain close. My sister left for college, my mother remarried, and my father had another child with my first step mom. I also had times that I would fall away from God and others when my life was surrounded by Him and I was following Him in every aspect of life. My last two years of high school, I became involved in mission trips and internships, primarily in Mexico. During those years, I felt God’s call to full-time missions following graduating from Southeastern University. I am still not sure of where or what God wants me to do in the future, but I am confident that He will show me in His timing.
